Perry Rees
Perry graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2001 with a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical with specialization in Computing and Communications) degree. Having worked in Ottawa for Nortel, Newbridge, and Alcatel during his degree program, he returned there to take a full time position with Alcatel as an ASIC Verification Engineer. In 2003 he moved to Halifax to work for InfoInterActive (subsequently AOL) as a Software QA Engineer. During his 6 years at AOL, Perry was responsible for leading the QA of many large scale development projects, developing automated testing frameworks, and the execution of functional and non-functional testing. In 2007 Perry attained designation as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) from the Association of Professional Engineers of Nova Scotia (APENS). Perry has also had significant experience in transitioning QA responsibilities from other teams while at the same time enhancing them in the process. In addition to his extensive experience in industry standard QA tools such as HP Quality Center and Quick Test Pro, Perry has knowledge of C++, Java, HTML, XML, and Perl.
