Michael Larose
Prior to earning his Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MSCE) certification in 1999, Michael worked in a mixed Novell Netware Microsoft NT environment. In 2000, he completed Web Master and Web Designer programs at Henson College and joined Credit Union Central Nova Scotia as a web and database developer. Michael led the development of in-house intranets and line of business applications written in various languages, primarily VB.NET/ASP.NET. He used project management best practices in the team’s development efforts and was subsequently assigned the role of project manager. He has created infrastructure and processes to be used for company-wide manage project management. He has lead business process improvement teams in charge of identifying and improving internal business processes relating to IT services.
In 2008, Michael accepted a position with Unisys where he was part of the security team and was responsible for ensuring the Solaris environment met the stringent requirements set out in the PCI DSS security standards. He was also involved in testing and improving disaster recovery procedures.
