Michael Chapman

Michael graduated with a degree in Computer Science from Acadia University in 1997. Upon graduation he obtained a position with Trakonic Inc. and assumed a lead role in the development of systems that enabled video transmission to wireless mobile devices. During this time he acquired extensive development experience in Windows and Unix environments using both Java and C++. He built upon his experience when he joined the Data Applications and Systems Integration team at AOL. While there he was involved in the design, development and maintenance of server applications in the VOIP, Wireless and Local Number Portability, Mail and Mobile Instant Messaging spaces. Products that he worked on while there include AIM IM to Mobile, AIM Phoneline, AIM VoiceMail and AIM Call In. Michael has extensive experience in C++, Java, Perl, Database development, XML and SIP.
