Joe Gofton
Joe Gofton graduated from the Nova Scotia Community College in 1997 with a diploma in Business Information Technology and Computer Systems Management and Support. After graduating, he started his career in the Point of Sale business with ABM Systems as a field technician, then moving onto supporting ABM's server systems. He was hired by InfoInterActive in 2001 as a Tier 3 support specialist to support the Internet Call Manager product. Following IIA's acquisition by AOL, he assumed the role of Systems Administrator (Unix and Linux), and as part of a 12 person team, supported many AOL products and projects Including: AOL Call Alert, AOL by Phone, Multi-Party Voice Chat, AOL, Total Talk, AIM Phoneline, and AIM Call Out. Joe is an experienced system administrator with extensive experience with Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu, & Debian), Solaris, Novell, Apache Web servers and mail servers (Postfix/Zmailer).
