Software Quality Assurance Engineer
NewPace Technology Development Inc. provides Software Development, Systems Operations, and Applications support for mobile phone application development and gateway systems development to a large European and US Telecom provider. Our client currently supports forty wireless carriers through out Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Asia.
NewPace is now accepting applications for Software Quality Assurance Engineers at the Junior and Intermediate experience levels. You will be working on application and system design, development, and testing in the mobile messaging space and joining a team of experienced software and quality engineers. These positions will be based out of our new Bedford, NS location.
Quality Assurance Engineer Requirements
- Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent experience
- UNIX operating systems
- Network protocol analysis
- Perl and awk/gawk scripting
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- BONUS: Web-based protocols (HTTP/HTTPS in particular), SIP, XCAP, XMPP, ENUM, CORBA, Mercury or other automated test harnesses
Quality Assurance Engineer Responsibilities
- Design, document, and execute test plans, including the development of scripts in support of those plans
- Communicate effectively with the development team to convey test results.
- Work with a team dedicated to providing products of the highest quality.
