Situation: 

Our Customer's Multi-Media Gateway application allows WAP based phones to provide “smart-phone” like features for “feature phones” using the OMA’s Wireless Village Protocols. Our customer, responding to market demand requested a Facebook gateway to allow users to interact with the popular social networking website.

Solution: 

NewPace worked with the customer's product team to understand product requirements and worked with Facebook’s public Application Programming Interfaces (API’s) to design and build the application. The application was developed within the framework of the customer's existing product source code. Numerous bugs and software improvements were made to the base software product, including improving performance under load and resolving software deadlocking issues which were resulting in application crashes.

Benefits: 

The customer has deployed the Facebook gateway with a major European and Asian wireless phone service provider.
