About Us

Our History

NewPace Technology Development was founded in 2009 to provide Software Development, Systems Operations, and Applications support to a world-wide base of customers.  Our customers are primarily established telecommunications and internet application companies requiring software product and applications development.   Twenty of our core staff were part of AOL for ten years, and prior to that many of us worked at a variety of start-ups and software contracting companies together.  We are a seasoned team.
 

Experienced

We currently have 40 employees working from our Canadian offices (Halifax, Nova Scotia). We have a 95% Degreed workforce, 90% of who are Computer Science Graduates, 5 Masters Degrees and on average 10 Years of Experience per employee. We are a strong team with significant experience and low staff turn-over. 

Most of us are veterans of several high-tech start-ups and have spent 10 years working together for a large US corporate Internet Service Provider and Web Portal where we built and operated VoIP features for their instant messaging software, a VoIP home phone replacement product, online voicemail, and audio conferencing/group chat services.

Past Projects >

NewPace's staff have in excess of ten years of experience building telco grade server software and applications, including gateways applications to popular social communications tools, all aspects of the SIP protocol, social networking APIs, voice conferencing solutions, transcoding solutions, and mobile instant messaging. We have significant experience developing OMA IMPS software and GSMA Rich Communication Suite products for mobile operators.

Our close proximity to both Europe and the US enables us to interact with our clients during their working hours. With access to one of North America’s most advanced broadband and trans-Atlantic fibre optic networks makes us just 110ms from Frankfurt and 12ms to New York.
